ACCENT REDUCTION WORKSHOP FOR ACTORS WHO WANT
TO IMPROVE THEIR AMERICAN ENGLISH
Join Kevin for individual hour-long classes for actors whose first language is not English.
Kevin Duffy, currently appearing Off Broadway, uniquely combines four decades of experience as an actor with fifteen years of experience as a credentialed teacher of English as a Second Language, to meet the needs of actors who are English learners in one class.
The class will focus on changing the muscle memory from your first language that you’re using to produce the sounds of American English. If you only use the vocal sounds of your first language to produce the sounds of spoken English, your accent will hinder communication. Building new muscle memory inherent to English, along with close attention to the intonation of the language, will help reduce your accent.
